I NEVER KNEW THIS
I NEVER KNEW THAT WAS WHAT AMERICANS MEANT WHEN THEY SAID “QUITE”
WHY DIDN’T ANYBODY TELL ME
SUDDENLY THAT ONE SONG THAT GOES “HELLO I MISS YOU QUITE TERRIBLY” MAKES LIKE A MILLION TIMES MORE SENSE

Bear with me here.
Let’s assume TFIOS happens in 2012. Which, I think it does.
Today is Bastille day. July 14th. In the last chapter of the book, Hazel and her parents go to the park, then the cemetery to see Augustus.
And then she gets a reply after 6pm from Lidewij.
Therefore, today, Hazel is eulogized by Augustus.
COMMENCE SOBBING, OKAY.
…you’re welcome.

#don’t tell me this doesn’t look like John Watson #this is him maybe a few months after Sherlock’s death #some nights he can’t sleep because of nightmares #nightmares of war #nightmares of monsters #but mostly nightmares of Sherlock’s final moments #Sherlock standing up on that ledge#Sherlock reaching out for him Sherlock shedding a tear for him #then taking that step and leaving him forever #these memories haunt him and plague him night after night #some nights they’re so bad he just can’t take sitting in his empty apartment anymore #so he goes for walks in the middle of the night #and with out realizing it his feet always take him to St. Barts #always take him to the place where he stood as his closest friend dropped to his death #and he stands there for minutes#sometimes hours #alone #or so he thinks #little does he know on those cold God forsaken nights that Sherlock stands watching #just out of eyes reach in the shadows #it kills him to see John hurt like that #but he knows he had no choice#and he knows he has to hurry up and destroy Moriarty’s web soon #because who knows how long John will last
